16u – Madison Foster

  • Madison is a graduate of Park Tudor High School and Olivet Nazarene University where he excelled in baseball at both institutions. At Olivet Nazarene he was a 4 year starter as a pitcher and hitter and won the Conference Player of the Year award in his senior season. At Park Tudor Madison was a 4 time All Conference award winner as well as a 2 time All State award winner (once as a pitcher, once as a hitter). In addition to these awards he was also a member of the North South All Star baseball team and received All State honors in football as a wide receiver.
  • Here is a little information about Madison’s Coaching philosophies:
  • “I believe that it’s a coach’s job to set culture and expectations with his/her team (attitude and effort), and it’s up to the player to have the integrity to follow through on those expectations. How you do anything is how you do everything.”
  • As a hitting coach, I believe whole-heartedly that kids need to be taught the importance of hitting line drives in an era where exit velocity and home runs are all the rage. I also believe in teaching the mental side of hitting, like how to approach different pitchers and what we can do to have competitive at-bats no matter who we’re facing.
  • Madison has been an private instructor at RoundTripper as well as a Varsity assistant and hitting coach at Park Tudor HS and previously was an assistant coach for a 16U Mustangs team. His personal interests include spending time with his wife and two sons, traveling, and golfing.
